Worth More than Rubies

Be Inspired!

A godly woman is a great treasure to those around her. There is no precious gem that could equal this treasure. Proverbs 21:30 says that “favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain…”

The King’s Daughter…

Be Inspired!

There is nothing more beautiful than a young woman who portrays the character of her King. She does not have to possess a striking physical beauty, but rather the beauty of a holy, pure life.

Are You Hurting God?

Be Inspired!

You and I cannot reach God to hurt Him as we might our fellowmen. But did you know that you can still hurt God? What about when He sees us abuse our spouse, or child, or fellow employee?

Anticipate Heaven

Be Inspired!

As we get older, we anticipate heaven more. When we think of a place where sin has never entered, and where sorrow, death, pain, and tears have no place, our desire to experience it grows.

Are You Afraid?

Be Inspired!

Fear comes in many forms and it may become a real hindrance to our faith and trust in God…. Life brings continuing reasons to fear….

The Valley of the Shadow

The World Health Organization told us a long time ago that a major health pandemic was overdue. But few of us expected it to happen. Until it did…

Who Am I?

Be Inspired!

Who are you? The real you, not the one you put on in the morning. The real you, as God sees you, not the you that you portray yourself as…

In Defense of Marriage

Be Inspired!

The institution of marriage is taking a beating at the hands of an ungodly society. It’s time we stand up in defense of marriage as God designed it

As I Follow Christ

Be Inspired!

Paul challenged the Corinthians to follow him as he followed Christ. Are you following Christ so closely that it would be safe for you to give someone a challenge like that?

In God’s Hands

The Lord has finally brought me to the place that He had always intended for me. A place where I cannot take one step without my hand in His hand.

Follow Jesus

Jesus left the pinnacle of glory, to be born in a stable in Bethlehem. Then at the end, He went a dark and dreadful second mile to the grave.

Christ’s Beauty

According to Isaiah 53:1, Christ’s appearance. wasn’t outstanding. He wasn’t handsome. He did not stand out in a crowd. Where then is the beauty found in Christ?

Our Tests Matter

Never think that your particular problems and tests are not important to God. Read the first couple chapters of the book of Job. This discussion between God and Satan in the book of Job is a rare glimpse into what goes on behind the scenes in God’s dealing with you and me.

The Burden of “Now”

Christ calls us to face our commission in the work of the harvest of souls. He points us to the harvest and inspires us to take part in it. He urges us to consider its readiness and to not make excuses.

Feelings of Faith

Did you awake this morning and harbor doubts about your Christian life? Maybe you did not feel like a Christian. Did you know that if we allow the devil to do so, he will attempt to lead us to an experiential, feeling-based relationship with God that is really no relationship at all?

Learning From History

We are the product of our yesterdays. From yesterday came the influences and experiences that have affected our lives to make us what we are today.

Follow Me

Life is real and there are consequences for every decision that we make. The decision to follow Jesus or not to follow Jesus has consequences that will affect us now and in eternity.

Intercessors Needed

One faithful man on his knees in his closet, interceding for his church and community will have more impact on that church or community than any other single thing he could do?

Watch and Pray

Look at the Gethsemane experience and the things that Jesus did and said there. Here we will find a guide for how we can resist temptation. I believe Jesus faced His greatest struggle in this garden.

Law or Righteousness?

Jesus goes to great length in the Sermon on the Mount to help us understand that there is a higher standard of righteousness than the moral law. He takes issue with what no man had ever questioned; the validity of the law. He declared that to abstain from wrong deeds alone is not sufficient.

Christ Knows Us

We can hide nothing from Christ. So, let us be transparent. If your prayers are not answered, He is probably that One whom you hear knocking just now, wanting entrance.

Judgment

We do not like the thought of judgment. We do not like the thought of hell, but the Word of God exclaims judgment clearly.

To Change Your Mind

How do we know if someone is truly repentant? We will see a serious commitment to turn from sin and a willingness to confess it. The person will also see sin as an abomination and abhor it.

God’s Invitation is for You

There are many gracious invitations in the scriptures. Let’s look at some of them and be inspired to respond to God’s faithful calls to “Come.”

Are You a Disciple?

What does it mean to be a disciple of Christ? Here are four answers for you to consider.

Why, Lord, Why?

Our responses in difficult situations are important because hardships are God’s way of bringing us to the glories of heaven. Our prayers for the removal of our affliction may be against the will of God.

Unmet Longings

Even though our fallen nature yearns for satisfaction in this world, we find in ourselves a deeper desire as we look to regain the lost paradise of Eden. We cannot make sense of life without the eternal.

Jesus Cannot be Hidden

Jesus tried to downplay his work. After healing someone, he often asked those he healed to tell no one. But the Lord Jesus could not be hidden.

How should we pray?

How many times do we approach God with so much to pray for that we do not know where to begin? We are groaning about it, so it makes sense that the Spirit intercedes for us with groanings also.

Who Am I?

Our understanding of who we are is vital to our assurance as a Christian. We must know who we are. Jesus said that our fruits will tell others who we are (Matthew 7: 16-20).
