Good Morning Fellow Travelers,

Read: Proverbs 31:10-31

“Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.” (Proverbs 31:10)

A godly woman is a great treasure to those around her. There is no precious gem that could equal this treasure. Proverbs 21:30 says that “favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.”

A God-fearing woman of Christian character will make the best wife. She will have the Lord as her strength and beauty. This character will shine through her life and all her work will be diffused with the holy light of God. Her children will rise up and bless her; her husband will praise her and trust her judgment, her fidelity, and her perseverance.

I have the blessing of a wife like this and heartily recommend the above qualities to every man who seeks a wife. As I observe the graciousness of my wife’s hospitality, I want to be her guest. As I ponder her love for her children, I want to be her child. As I contemplate her dedicated concern and prayers for her grandchildren, I wish she was my grandma. She is selfless in serving others. She stretches out her hands to the poor and needy.

These character qualities are very attractive. A woman of character is an incredible blessing and encouragement in her husband’s life. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

“Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.” Proverbs 31:29
