Has the truth set you free?

JOHN 8:32 (KJV)

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

There are many places in our world where a person might find bits of truth. The source of all truth, however, can only be found in God Himself. He is our Creator and Sustainer. He is the one who loves us and preserved for us the Holy Bible. The Bible is completely reliable since it was inspired by God. Other ‘holy books’ may make similar claims, but they lose credibility when put under intense scrutiny.

The Bible accurately reveals to us the truth about our need for God. It also tells us about Jesus, fully man and fully God, who died for our sins, rose again, and now lives in heaven to intercede with God on our behalf.

In order for a person to understand the truth of the Bible, he must enter into an obedient, loving, and faithful relationship with Jesus. Jesus tells us, “I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life.” He also promises, “Those who are faithful to my teachings will know the truth, and the truth will make them free!”

Truly knowing Jesus sets us free from deception. It exposes the errors of false religions. Truly knowing Jesus delivers us from the bondage of sin. It frees us from needing to seek the approval of people. Knowing Jesus frees us to be the people he created us to be. Do you know Jesus? Are you truly free?

If you would like to experience Truth that brings total freedom, get a Bible and read John chapter 8. You will be amazed at the promises Jesus makes in these verses! Open your heart to receive these teachings of Jesus, and his truth will free you from the inside out!

  1. Hi, I have a question. What day do you have church? I want to know the truth about the day God wants us to serve him each week.

    Thanks

    1. Acts 20:7 states that the first century Christian church met on the first day of the week. John 20:19-22, 1 Cor 16:2 and many other scriptures substantiate meeting on the first day of the week. Rom 6:14 and 14:1-12 also shed some light on our service to the Lord.
