Is God on Trial?

God is not the originator of evil. That is the devil’s domain. He, together with the evil men and women he has seduced to sin, creates the suffering that goes on in the world today. The broken homes, the abused children, the adulterous relationships, the killing of untold millions of the unborn, are all testimony of man out of control . . .

Cooperating with the Inevitable

There are many things in our life that we cannot change. We cannot change where we were born, nor the family we were born into, nor the color of our skin. We do not choose which disease we get, nor even the time of our death. There is much in life that is inevitable. We love our families, our wives and children, our grandchildren. But brace yourself for the inevitable….

Who is God?

Who is God? Good question to ask, don’t you think? Listen to this 17 minute talk on God to get some answers to this vital question.

There Is Evidence for God

People often ask, “Can you prove to me that there is a God?” One man angrily demanded, “If there is a God and He wants me to believe in Him; then why doesn’t he come down here and show himself so that I can believe?” Yet, one wonders, even if God had suddenly appeared in front of him, would the man have believed or would he have come up with some other explanation? If he has chosen to reject the evidence for God that does exist, would anything really convince him?

Why Is God Not Obvious?

There IS Evidence for God!

Why is it that God does not seem to approach in a much more obvious way? One answer has been that God’s existence is not a matter of reality and facts. Isn’t it more of a faith position, anyway? Isn’t it more about a leap in the dark than an embrace of evidence? I would agree that God isn’t “forcefully obvious,” but I don’t think that this confines God to being a “take-it-or-leave-it” matter of faith. I think it makes more sense to see God as clearly visible, whilst not being forcefully obvious.

What is after death?

How can one know what happens after death? Have you ever spoken with someone who died and came back to tell you? Doesn’t a person just die and that’s it? Job of old asked the question, “If a man die, shall he live again?” Stephen looked into Heaven. Apostle John recorded his visions of heaven, and the disciples watched as the Lord Jesus ascended to Heaven.

What Are You Living For?

What Are You Living For

Joe Andrews, now middle-aged, was stopped short one day by the thought, Suppose I got everything I wanted—a better job, a new house, and more leisure time—would I be really satisfied? His honest answer was “No.” For many at middle age, bright hopes and dreams of youth grow dim. Defenses and pretenses begin to crumble. And a horrible, hollow emptiness remains. Life has lost meaning for many young people also. Suicides by teenagers and college students are all-too common. Life without God has no meaning. Years ago wise King Solomon wrote a book. His writings portray the pain and emptiness of life when God is left out. Solomon had walked many paths. He had drunk…

The Evidence for CREATION

The Evidence for Creation

We live in a fascinating world of awesome beauty and amazing order. Dazzling sunsets, cascading waterfalls, revolving planets, glittering stars, and other wonders have captivated man’s attention and triggered much curiosity. When did these marvels come into existence? How did it happen? There are ultimately only two alternatives. Either all things have developed from nothing by natural, observable Darwinian processes operating in the world presently or they were initially created by an infinitely powerful and all-wise God. Let us examine one of the most important questions of our day. Does strong evidence exist for creation or for random chance evolution? If so, what is that evidence? The universe gives powerful evidence for Creation. The universe…

The Matchless Pearl

A HEAVY SPLASH was followed by many ripples, and then the water below the pier was still. An American crouched on the low Indian pier, his eyes riveted on the place where a stream of little bubbles rose to the surface from deep under the water. In a moment a black head appeared and a pair of bright eyes looked up. Then the old Indian pearl diver was clambering onto the dock, grinning and shaking the water from his shining, oily body. “As nice a dive as I’ve ever seen, Rambhau!” cried David Morse, the American missionary. “Look at this one, sahib,” said Rambhau, taking a big oyster from between his teeth. “I think it’ll…

How long is eternity? No end in sight! No end! Forever and for-ever! What startling words! The life God breathed into man makes man an eternal being-one whose life will never end. Man can hardly comprehend a period of one million years. But let’s try. A thousand years is ten times the life span of our oldest people. Now multiply 1,000 x 1,000 and you have one million years. Even that gives no idea of eternity, for a million years subtracted from eternity will not make it one bit shorter. What will eternity be like? What will YOU be doing a million, a billion and more years from now? One who has lived in all…

Where will you be five minutes after you die?

Where Will You Be Five Minutes After You Die

THIS IS ONE of the most serious questions you will ever have to face. Where will you be five minutes after you die? No one can deny the fact of death. It was Ponce de Leon who came to Florida in 1569 searching for a fountain of water which would bring perpetual youth to all who drank of it. But no such fountain has ever been found. Ponce de Leon died just as everyone must die. Since death is so certain, our main concern should be to find out where we shall be after death. Jesus told of a “certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:…

You may do as you please

You May do as you Please

YOU MAY DO AS YOU PLEASE with God now. It is permitted. God placed Himself in men’s hands when He sent Jesus Christ into the world as perfect God and perfect Man in one Being. He was then in man’s hands. They cursed Him. It was permitted. Men spit on Him. God allowed it. They called him a devil. God withheld His wrath. Finally men arrested Him, gave Him a mock trial, flogged Him, nailed Him on a cross, and hung Him between earth and heaven; and God allowed it.

Where are you going? Heaven or Hell

Jesus said… “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3:36 NKJV) Heaven or Hell? What happens to men and women when they die? Do people simply cease to exist as some people say, or is there life after death? The Bible tells us that it is “appointed unto men once to die and after that the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). In Matthew 25, we read that when Jesus returns to earth He will sit on His judgment throne and separate the people of all nations into two groups. Those on His right will…
