{"id":1597,"date":"2020-02-10T16:26:03","date_gmt":"2020-02-10T21:26:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gospelbillboards.org\/?p=1597"},"modified":"2020-02-10T16:36:20","modified_gmt":"2020-02-10T21:36:20","slug":"in-gods-hands","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gospelbillboards.org\/in-gods-hands\/","title":{"rendered":"In God&#8217;s Hands"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #c45d29;\">Feb 11, 2020<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #630000;\">Good Morning Fellow Travelers,<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #630000;\">Read: Romans 8:18-30 <\/span>  <\/strong><\/span> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #c45d29;\">\u201cI have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.\u201d Job 42:5<\/span>\n\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#630000\" class=\"has-text-color\">It has taken almost twelve\nyears, but the Lord has finally brought me to the place that He had always intended\nfor me. A place where I cannot take one step without my hand in His hand. Some\ndays with Parkinson\u2019s are better than others, but the trend is pronounced. He\nhas allowed me to be so weakened in my legs that sometimes they will hardly\nbear my body weight anymore. Now, the only way to get around is to constantly\nreach out my hand for a doorjamb or doorknob or to take a hand that reaches out\nto me. God has brought me to full dependence on Him. It is where He wanted me\nall along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#630000\" class=\"has-text-color\">Now when my body freezes into\nimmobility until it will not move, I must look into His face and say, \u201cThe next\nmove is your move, Lord.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#630000\" class=\"has-text-color\">He has peeled away the facade\nof my own strength and shown me the weakness of my selfish love and boastful\nindependence. I used to complain and argue with Him, but He has taught me\nsomething. He has taught me that my complaints, arguments, and anxieties are a\ndenial of His sovereign right to have His will in my life and body. My journey\nhas taught me also that if I get completely out of the way, maybe, just maybe, He\ncan yet use my handicapped efforts to the praise of His glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#630000\" class=\"has-text-color\">Besides bringing me to where He\nalways wanted me to be, He has also brought me to where I have always wanted to\nbe\u2014in His hand. At first it surprised me and then the realization dawned. This\nis exactly what I have always longed for\u2014to be in the embrace of the loving\nhands of the heavenly, merciful Father and to be completely dependent on Him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#630000\" class=\"has-text-color\">It was formerly, \u201cHorrible\nParkinson\u2019s.\u201d Now I can call this journey \u201cParkinson\u2019s with a purpose.\u201d Maybe\nyou can put your personal infirmity or trial in the title of your journey, like\n\u201cCancer with a purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#630000\" class=\"has-text-color\">God wants us in His hand. He\nsometimes takes what seem to be very drastic measures to accomplish this and\nget our attention. We wake up one morning to the truth. We are exactly where we\nhave always longed to be . . . just in His hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#630000\" class=\"has-text-color\">Why do I share this? Maybe God wants to teach you, and you are missing it.
