Real Christian Community: love AND truth

Most people instinctively crave meaningful relationships.  For some, this inner longing distorts reality, and subsequent wrong choices result in a lifetime of grief.   For the authentic disciple of Jesus, God uses this divinely-placed, innate desire for relationship to His glory.  Christians who live in close proximity to each other and frequently engage in worship and ministry leave a tremendous testimony.  They harmoniously display to observers that they truly are a city set on a hill.  Jesus said, in His kingdom mandate, “Ye are the light of the world.  A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid” (Matthew 5:14). What does it take to experience real Christian community?  First, it takes real Christianity,…

LOVE JESUS?  Joyfully obey Him!

In today’s world, love is often misrepresented and undervalued to the point where many of us may have little idea what true love is. The Bible is not silent on this topic, and neither is the One who is the greatest expression of such love.  That One, of course, is Jesus, of whom the Bible says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” (John 3:16-17). Jesus said that love and obedience to Him are inextricably…

Equality, Investigation and Perfection

Are all religions equal? Many people insist they are, but upon what basis are these claims made? Do all roads really lead to Heaven? Or Nirvana? Or Jannah? What about the happy hunting grounds? Or wherever it is the proponents of a particular philosophy seem to aspire to attain? How may one determine whether the various competing religions present truth in their belief systems? Is there really no substantial difference among them? What about those religions which insist upon exclusivity? That theirs is the only way and the only truth? If that claim is true, then all other religions are false; but if that claim is not true, then at least their religion is false.…

Value all children like JESUS does

The compassionate kindness of Jesus has been unparalleled in human history. The attributes of compassion and kindness are illustrated by many scenes from His short ministry, but they perhaps find the best portrait in His relationship with children. The Bible shows how Jesus welcomed small children into His busy schedule of ministry. He said to His disciples, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it” (NKJV; Mark 10:14-15). He healed children (John 4:46-52), cast demons out of them (Mark 7:25-30…

Who is Jesus Christ?

Who is Jesus Christ? Is He mytholigical or historical? What was His purpose for living? This 18 minute discussion will help you to answer the questions you may have about Him.

Jesus, your only way to God

Jesus is your only way to God. Which road are you on? And where is it taking you? All roads end somewhere, but only one road takes you to heaven. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

Jesus…Your Only Way to God

Jesus has been under attack in our world for many years. I invite you to consider the first four verses of 1 John. These verses contend that Jesus Christ is the only way to God. Although much of our culture disagrees with this idea and poses clever arguments against it, this passage shows that Jesus Christ fits the qualifications for being fully God and fully man. The attack on Jesus Christ is carried on both overtly and covertly. Overtly, we hear people using the name of Jesus in hard swearing and slang cussing. Covertly, the music, the news media, and the books of our culture carry a subversive element that mines away at the person…
